Interior designer Lorna Pringle shares her love for the Willow Sofa – and why it’s a standout in her designs. Here’s why it could be the perfect addition to your home:
“It is difficult to narrow it down to just one sofa and fabric, as I feel I use so many of the styles depending on the brief/scheme in each project. Personally, I find the Willow sofa such a timeless piece that I recommend it quite often to clients. I love how the roll arms drop low and the T-cushions wrap around to the front. Both of these elements combined make for not only a beautiful side profile but also an un-intrusive one. In many living room layouts, the side of the sofa is either next to or facing towards the door of the room. Having a low arm that stops short of the full depth of the sofa can make the room feel more open.
I am always drawn to the Penny fabric as I love florals and traditional design. The Penny Blue fabric compliments pieces with a traditional shape like the Willow sofa or the Valentina headboard while the Penny Multi caught my eye in store on a Kilmore dining chair paired with Antwerp Blush and piped in Fortis Blush Pink.
For a more contemporary selection of fabrics, I recently used Lovely Almond, Plush Platinum, and Boho Grey together to create a serene living room scheme. I am really looking forward to seeing this installed in my client’s living room.”
